Junior Membership

For just $5.00 a year, children twelve years old or younger, can be part of JOCKO’S FRIENDS, a Junior Membership Club of Government House Historical Society. The Club is called “Jocko’s Friends”, in honour of the pet monkey, Jocko, who was the companion of the first Lieutenant Governor, Amédée Forget, more than 100 years ago.
Members will receive these benefits:
- be recognized as an honorary guide of the House, helping the tour guide
- be invited to a special junior members’ event with the Lieutenant Governor
- receive a subscription to “Monkey Business“, a quarterly newsletter
- receive a coupon for the Victorian Tea for you and a guest
- receive a gift bag after four visits to the House in one year.
Jocko’s Club now has a membership of 75.
