Carolyn Ward makes wheat neck pillows which ease a stiff and painful neck without the need to take pain-relieving medication.  She has even covered them with flannel patterned with monkeys, similar to Jocko.

Pat Sowiak of Regina has made small wall hangings, many of which bear whimsical comments or words of good advice.

Sue Hunchuk of Moose Jaw is a new featured artist whose work is now available in Coquette’s.  In addition to her square and oblong glass plates, (which come in two sizes), she makes beautiful decorator plates with an iridescent glaze depicting a prairie elevator. She also makes a most unusual “piano keys” table lamp with matching glass plates.

Marcia Fossey of Alberta makes exquisite jewellery of antique beads, (from the 1920s to the 1930s).  Illustrated are two sets from her “Ponderosa Design” series, one of which is made from clear glass beads and the other using black beads.

Cole Young’s numbered edition portraits of Poundmaker and of Ben Pasqua have been brought in to Coquette’s in response to popular demand.  Also stocked is her drawing of a Victorian child, (Hildred), although this is not a numbered edition.

Riverbend Plantation products are now stocked in Coquette’s.  These include Saskatoon Berry jam-type spread, Saskatoon Berry topping, Saskatoon Berry Vinaigrette and Saskatoon Berry Cider.  Their Saskatoon Berry chocolates are also available, both in boxes and sold individually for that quick “chocolate fix”.

Summer is approaching so Coquette’s has brought in more fine cotton-lawn nightdresses in both long and short styles.  Several have attractive lavender embroidery across the yoke.  Cool cotton dresses for little girls have also arrived.
