2010 Dates for Antique Auction and Appraisal Event

It is time again to let you know about our annual A A & A Event (Antique Auction and Appraisal Event) held by the Government House Historical Society.  The auction of antiques and collectibles will be on Saturday, August 14th, 11 am. Viewing of items will start Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 11th to the 13th inclusive, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  All articles have been donated to the Society and donors have been issued a tax deductible receipt.

The appraisals will be August 25th, 26th, and 27th, with appraisers Vern Reese and Isabelle Zohner.  Appraisals will go from 10 am until 3 pm each day no registrations are needed.  They will conduct open appraisals - a little like a “road show” so come with items you would like to know more about or just come to learn more about antiques and collectibles.

Reservations are now required for our teas. From March to December, the Saturday and Sunday sittings are at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.
